DAMPPROOFING & VAPOR SEALING
Foundation Damp Proofing
Damp proofing is the traditional method of protecting a foundation. A-T sealer is a damp- proofing membrane that stops water vapor from passing through a foundation wall and into the basement area. It can be used on either poured concrete or masonry block construction and forms a smooth continuous barrier.
When brick is used above grade to cover masonry walls, A-T Sealer can be used to stop water vapor from getting into the interior living space. Simply coat the above grade exterior of the masonry construction with A-T Sealer.
A-T Sealer will bond to nearly any surface, forming a smooth continuous barrier against water vapor.
A-T Sealer is an asphalt-based damp proofing that retards moisture movement through basement walls. When used on an above grade cavity wall, it acts as a vapor barrier.
A-T Sealer WB is an asphalt emulsion damp proofing that retards moisture movement through basement walls. When used on an above grade cavity wall, it also acts as a vapor barrier.
Cavity Wall Water Vapor Sealing
A-T Sealer can be used as a masonry cavity wall sealant. The masonry course used on the exterior of a building is porous and will absorb water. The water soaks into the masonry veneer and creates a reservoir for water-vapor to then be passed to the concrete masonry unit and to the interior of the building. A-T Sealer can significantly retard this action. Our sealant has the following advantages:
- Stops water vapor transmission
- Is non-asbestos
- Reduces potential for mold growth
- Fast application times
- Inhibits air leakage into the building
- Solvent-based or emulsion formulas
- Non-fibered for easy application
- Above or below grade application
- Meets basic building codes
- Strong bond to substrate
- Asphalt material for low cost
